Privacy notice
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. Written to be read.
This notice explains how Asia Web Digital Limited (“we”) handles personal information collected through asiawebdigital.com. If anything here is unclear, write to info@asiawebdigital.com and we will explain it.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, a project brief, a job application or a newsletter sign-up, we receive what you typed — typically your name, email address, company, phone number and your message.
- Information collected automatically. Standard web analytics: pages viewed, approximate region, referring site, device and browser type. We do not attempt to identify individuals from this.
- Cookies. A small number, described below.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to prepare a proposal
- To assess a job application and let you know the outcome
- To send the newsletter you asked for, until you unsubscribe
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and briefs: two years from your last contact with us
- Job applications: twelve months, unless you ask us to keep them longer for future roles
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Analytics: aggregated, with individual records expiring after fourteen months
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and optional analytics cookies that only load if you accept them. The banner shown on your first visit records your choice locally so we do not ask again. You can clear that choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers acting on our instructions: email hosting, form processing, analytics and, for job applications, our applicant tracking system. Each is bound by contract to process the information only for us. Some of them operate outside Hong Kong; where that is the case, appropriate transfer protections are in place.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to info@asiawebdigital.com and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and asking will not affect any dealings we have with you.
Security
Access to enquiry and application data is limited to the people who need it. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you we will tell you, and we will tell you what we are doing about it.
Changes
If we change this notice materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects you directly, tell you.
